Glenn Beck’s big adventure with Sarah Palin packed the vast grounds of the Lincoln Memorial on Saturday, so imagine what they could do as a team on the political circuit. If they formed a presidential ticket I suppose it could be a coin toss for the top slot. Beck has been around longer and reaches more people every day on radio and TV than Palin does. But Palin has already run on a ticket, so maybe she gets the nod — and I’m guessing Beck would have more fun with the running-mate’s traditional campaign role as attack dog. Farfetched? A source inside the campaign of Sen. Lisa Murkowski (R-Alaska) campaign tells The Daily Beast’s Shushannah Walshe that if the senator loses, a third-party run is a possibility. The source wouldn’t describe any details of the mechanisms that could make that worth discussing but did confirm they were seriously looking at, the report says . “We are going to take a look at them and see whether the option is there or not, but it’s a decision she (Murkowski) has to make,” the Murkowski camp source said. “There is an option I know of.” The story notes that former Gov. Wally Hickel lost the Republican primary in 1990, but won in the general by being on the Alaskan Independence Party (AIP) ticket. Here’s the sticky party: It’s a secessionist party calling for Alaska to leave the United States. “Obviously, Murkowski is not a secessionist, which Alaskans know,” the story says.

The campaign of former RNC committeeman Mike Pompeo had tweeted, “Here’s a good read about the Team Pompeo campaign” yesterday afternoon. What followed denigrated the Democratic nominee, state Rep. Raj Goyle , who is of Indian heritage. “Just like his evil muslim communist USURPER comrad, barrack hussein obama, This goyle character is just another ‘turban topper’ we don’t need in congress or any political office that deals with the U.S. Constitution, Christianity and the United States of America!!!” the linked post said, according to Goyle’s campaign.
